Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another press for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in the Microsoft Word, RTF, or OpenDocument file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Press.

General recommendations

These guidelines serve as general criteria

Please follow the editorial guidelines strictly. In all cases, it is advisable to maintain the greatest possible consistency in the use of citation styles, italics, capitalisation, abbreviations, etc.

If images (illustrations, photographs, etc.) are used, please ensure they have a resolution of at least 300 dpi and that their reproduction is either in the public domain or authorised by the rights holders (photographers, museums, archives, etc.). The author must obtain the necessary permissions and retain them for future verification.

Any proposals from authors not affiliated with the University of Urbino must be submitted together with a recommendation from a member of the University’s academic staff.
